my old house in peham

Good evening all, here are a few images of my old house in Perham.
It is still standing and I think it will be moved, but so far it is still on its foundation. The two house to the left of it are on huge I beams ready to be moved.
Some houses have been burned down, other just demolished, and there are a few standing. I only know of 2 people that are not selling to "old man Tuffy." I hope my old house has a good fate.

Joshua Tree Astro Photos 1/11

In late January, I went out to Joshua Tree National Park for several nights with a fellow amateur astronomer, Jerry Day.  I decided to try out a new "autoguider" (used to lock the telescope onto a star). These are two of the images I captured those nights. I used a Canon 50D mounted on a 600mm refractor telescope, polar aligned and guided, shot at prime focus for about ten minutes at ISO 800, yielding 12X magnification.
HORSEHEAD NEBULA

Horsehead Nebula (IC434) is located in the Orion Constellation, 1500 light years from Earth.

ROSETTE NEBULA
The Rosette Nebula (NGC 2237) is located in the Monoceros region of the Milky Way Galaxy. It is about 5200 light years from Earth and has a diameter of 130 light years. Very Large!

I hope you enjoy the photos,

move in minnesota winter

Hi all, I've just finished moving from my old house at 245 1st ave. no. to 903 7th ave NE in Perham. I've taken a few pics of the old place and the new.
The first one is of Joe and Sam coming to help me move. "Old man Tuffy" was about to get my old house.

The next two are before and after living room at the old place.

The next one is of the hallway to the new house, things are not unpacked yet.

A view of the living room area, a little messy but comfortable. With the in floor heat it is always 68 degrees and the floors are warm.

A view of the dining room area, and the Minnesota patio in winter. I was thinking of keeping it shoveled but it would be way too much work.

Here is a shot looking out one of the front bedroom windows, notice the sky and the snow are almost the same color/shade.

And finally a picture of the car parked outside, the garage is too full of stuff still to park inside. Next winter I'll be parking inside. Tonight it is suppose to get down to 24 below, definitely will be plugging in the vehicle.

"Old man Tuffy" did me a good turn but is sure has been a lot of work.
Take care, Marsha
