Congratulations Alex! You have our best wishes for a super future.

As usual, life proceeds like a tempest in a teapot in Anchorage. Friday, Uncle Jack arrived around 2:30 pm to help Bee drive his motor home back to California. Understandably, Bee was anxious to leave as soon as possible ( Bee was recently diagnosed with spots on his lung --- Doctors in Soldotna suspect they may be cancerous). Uncle Jack just finished his ham sandwich and coke when Bee call to let us know that he arrived in Anchorage and was ready to move on. We dropped Jack off at Fred Myers around 3:30 (their rendezvous). Twenty minutes later, after hugs, brief exchanges of plans, illnesses, etc., and buying two cases of water and coke they were off. The last time we heard from Uncle Jack was on Saturday around noon when he called to let know they were in Tok, Alaska eating fried chicken at the Three Bears.

Friday afternoon and evening we helped Mary Carol and Chris pack and get the boat ready for a weekend halibut and king salmon fishing trip in Homer. They should be back on Tuesday, I’ll fill you in on their results. Even little ’A’ had his pole and claimed he claimed he was going to fish.

Mom also helped Germaine pack and get ready for fish camp. If all goes well, they will leave on Wednesday.

We were up bright and early this morning, 5:30 am, to wish Greta well on her return trip to Fairbanks. Greta and Ken plan to leave for the North Slope Tuesday morning.

Paul will be in Nikiski Monday through Wednesday.

Phil: What a neat treat this am to find your blog! You did get us up to date. I tried to reach Jack, but my cell phone would not connect with him. I wonder if it is the "G3" interoperability thing.

With everyone gone for the time being, you must be enjoying the peace and quiet.

Take care.....Tom

Phil,
Good to hear from you. This means that you are looking at the blog regularly. Great. I realize that you are on a tight schedule with the pill taking. Thank you for the effort.
Love,
Bill

Hey Phil, I glad you left a message here. Yeah I've been wondering about Jack too. The first post was June 12, so that is 4 days travel, would be nice to hear from him soon.
Sounds like everyone is busy up there. When you get up at 2am I imagine the sun is up. That was sure beautiful to see so much sunlight.
Say Hi to Marie, and thanks again for having us up there.
Will be talking with you later tonight so see you then.
Love you, Marsha

I'm rereading what you wrote, and I like the way you write, very descriptive, down to earth, and entertaining. It makes a person feel like they are right there.
Nice.
