Change We Can Believe In

Just because the election is over...doesn't mean the waters are tranquil. Hope is in the air and just in the nick of time. We just put our dogs down in September and the kids were really bummed. Come November 4th...all is now good. The boys realized that "change we can believe in" translates to "puppies for everyone". At least, this is how I explained it to them. This way when it doesn't happen, they won't get mad at me. They'll vote Republican when they turn 18.

Hope all is well.
Happy Thanksgiving from The Alaska Millers (Myerchins)

To All: I understand the giddyness about Obama, however, I also believe he will let the nation down. The real rising star is someone who is not too brillliant, makes mistakes in exuberance and excites for the future and that is the Gov of AK - possibly (I hope) the next Senator from AK. For more mundane things, I have enclosed pics of the beautiful fall in Tennessee - this week. How wonderful are our forests and our beautiful and bountiful country!

Dia de los Muertos

Hi there folks. Here are Teslin and Sarana toasting to papa Phil on the Day of the Dead. We made sugar skulls, set out smoked salmon, some scotch and diet coke so that papa would visit us in spirit. We still miss papa but are happy to have this holiday to share.

Winter is here we are cross country skiing and ice skating lots. Have a great Thanksgiving.

Election Night in Chicago

Hey everyone,

As you know I live in Chicago and was able to get tickets for Obama's Election Rally in Grant Park here. It was an amazing experience to be in that huge crowd witnessing history. I know, as Myerchins, we don't all necessarily agree on politics, but the feeling in Chicago was great - there were no riots, no fights, no negativity whatsoever the whole night. It was pretty cool.
